According to a CoinShares survey published on October 5, 88 % of the 2,230 affluent investors polled across 7 countries, including France, each holding at least $500,000 to invest outside real estate, say they do not know enough to invest in crypto with confidence. In France, 2 out of 3 affluent investors hold crypto, with an average allocation representing approximately 10 % of their portfolio. Since July 1 and the end of the European MiCA regulation transition period, financial investment advisers without a PSCA license can no longer recommend a specific crypto asset. Despite this knowledge gap, at least 7 out of 10 crypto holders in each country plan to increase their crypto exposure by 2026, and 87 % of French respondents intend to strengthen their crypto allocation with or without their adviser’s opinion.
