A 15-year-old Bitcoin wallet suddenly reactivated after more than a decade of inactivity, transferring 20.43 BTC worth approximately $1.7 million on September 29. Galaxy Research estimated the total gain at approximately $1.724 million from these two transactions, including a batch of 10.33 BTC purchased at roughly $4 per unit. The phenomenon is part of a broader trend: in early September alone, approximately 626.74 BTC from dormant wallets were moved after 4 to 16 years of inactivity. On September 5, 600 BTC worth roughly $48 million were moved after more than 16 years, while on September 22, a wallet inactive since July 2012 moved 600 BTC worth approximately $51.9 million. Blockchain investigators found no evidence linking these extremely old coins to Satoshi Nakamoto.
