The Zano blockchain has been restarted at block 3,833,000, just before Hard Fork 6 introduced the Gateway Addresses feature, following a vulnerability that allowed unauthorized ZANO and Freedom Dollar to enter circulation. This rollback erases approximately one month of blockchain history, invalidating legitimate transactions made during that period. The Zano team is working on a reimbursement and claims process to compensate affected users. Zano, launched in May 2019, is a layer-1 blockchain focused on private payments with its native token ZANO.
