A Bank of America study published in February 2026, surveying 1,431 Americans with at least 3 million dollars in investable assets, reveals that young wealthy investors aged 21 to 45 now allocate 13% of their portfolio to cryptocurrencies, compared to 58% in stocks and 15% in other alternative investments. Among this generation, 58% already hold cryptocurrencies and 92% are interested in or own them. Crypto has become the top wealth creation opportunity for 29% of them, surpassing real estate, while 67% believe traditional investments can no longer outperform the market. This trend could accelerate with the anticipated wealth transfers to millennials, estimated at 46 trillion dollars over the next 25 years.
