Trump Media has abandoned its plan to embed a native prediction-market engine inside Truth Social, opting instead for a marketing deal that redirects users to Crypto.com’s platform. This retreat comes ten months after the October 28, 2025 announcement presenting Truth Predict as the first social media platform to offer embedded prediction markets, covering contracts on elections, interest rates, inflation, commodities and major sports leagues. The company also terminated the Trump Media Group CRO Strategy, the digital-asset treasury vehicle that was supposed to become the largest public holder of Crypto.com’s CRO token, citing shifting market conditions and bitcoin falling nearly 50% from its 2025 peak. By repositioning as a promotional partner rather than a direct provider, Trump Media reduces its regulatory exposure amid an ongoing jurisdictional battle between the CFTC and several states over event contract regulation.
