YGG Play, the web3 game publishing arm of Yield Guild Games, shut down services on Friday. Co-founder Gabby Dizon announced the closure of the unit, which employed 35 people, with games LOL Land and Waifu Sweeper going offline after July 31. The company generated 9 million dollars in lifetime revenue and cited the October 10, 2025 liquidation cascade and subsequent market drought as reasons for the closure, calling it a « market decision, not a product decision ». YGG is now redirecting resources toward the AI data economy, focusing on gaming datasets, with a treasury of 20.6 million dollars and an extended operating runway of four years.
