XRP Ledger is preparing an upgrade called fixCleanup3_5_0 to prevent unauthorized users from holding regulated assets such as stablecoins and tokenized stocks. It will bundle four proposals aimed at removing loopholes that currently allow users to bypass issuer approval. This tightening supports identity checks, anti-money laundering controls and the assessment of manipulation risks, all of which are prerequisites for attracting institutional players. At the time of writing, the upgrade had not yet been merged into the main software and requires support from 80% of validators for two weeks. XRP Ledger ranks tenth by value of tokenized assets, with $642.5 million following 28% growth in October.
