The XRP Ledger set a new record with 3,254 transactions processed in a single block, according to XRPL validator Vet. Most of these transactions were minimal transfers of just one drop, the smallest unit of XRP, suggesting throughput testing. Unlike Bitcoin, the XRP network uses an adaptive target that can increase if validators process transactions quickly. The network also released xrpld 3.3.0 on August 6 with several protocol upgrades, including BatchV1_1, ConfidentialTransfer, and DynamicMPT. As of September 14, 27 of 35 trusted validators were signaling support for the BatchV1_1 feature.
