The XRP Ledger’s Batch V1.1 amendment is one validator vote short of the 80 percent threshold needed to begin its 14-day activation countdown, following a security rebuild after a critical flaw was found in the original V1.0 version. The revised code underwent extensive review including senior engineering review, adversarial testing, two external security reviews, and AI-assisted analysis. The original flaw involved a signature-validation bug that could have allowed unauthorized transactions to be executed on behalf of other accounts. Currently, 27 trusted validators support the amendment against eight opposed, representing approximately 77 percent approval with just one more vote needed to reach the required mark. Batch V1.1 enables multiple transactions from different accounts to execute atomically in a single ledger close without requiring smart contracts.
