Wolfspeed and LITEON announced a partnership to develop 800 VDC power solutions for AI data centers. LITEON is qualifying Wolfspeed’s silicon carbide technology for integration into high-efficiency power modules, including 110 kW power shelves and liquid-cooling solutions. NVIDIA officially launched this 800 VDC architecture at Computex 2025, signaling that this was no longer theoretical but the direction the entire ecosystem needed to move. This collaboration provides Wolfspeed with commercial validation for its silicon carbide chip technology at a time when the company is seeking to demonstrate high-value applications beyond the electric vehicle market.
