Sentiment remains highly pessimistic following a security incident that drained $40 million from Brazilian exchange Mercado Bitcoin, while Bitcoin fell to a low of $76,541. The 30-day average number of active addresses stood at 629,000, 43% below the December 2024 peak of 1.10 million. By contrast, average daily Bitcoin transfer volume declined by only 5.4%, from 865,000 to 819,000 BTC, remaining close to its December 2024 level.
