VanEck has reported that 8 of the 12 capitulation indicators in its ChainCheck report are currently active, suggesting Bitcoin may be approaching a near-term bottom. Bitcoin is trading in a consolidation range between $60,000 and $70,000, with a price around $63,700 in July 2026, representing a 30-45% drawdown from cycle peaks. According to the investment firm, these capitulation phases have historically preceded recoveries rather than deeper collapses, with subsequent market periods showing positive returns.
