Valencia CF has signed right-back Arnau Martínez from Girona on a five-year deal. The transfer, worth approximately 5 million euros plus 1 million euros in performance-related bonuses, was finalized on August 25. Girona, relegated this season, retained a sell-on clause of 10 to 15 percent. At 23 years old, Martínez made 169 appearances and scored 9 goals for his formative club. Head coach Carlos Corberán was instrumental in getting the deal done, making this Valencia’s seventh summer signing.
