US Central Command has permitted nearly 30 vessels carrying humanitarian aid to pass through the Iranian naval blockade zone since resuming the operation on July 14. During the same period, US forces redirected 30 commercial ships, disabled two non-compliant vessels, and boarded two others. Within the first 24 hours, one non-compliant ship was disabled via a Hellfire missile strike. The Strait of Hormuz, bordering Iran, handles approximately a fifth of global oil production daily.
