US judge kills Milei’s LIBRA memecoin lawsuit, leaving investors stranded

A US judge dismissed with prejudice the amended complaint against the LIBRA memecoin promoted by Argentine President Javier Milei. Judge Jennifer L. Rochon closed the case in the Southern District of New York on September 29. Investors alleged that insiders controlled token launches and extracted funds from liquidity pools at outside investors’ expense. RICO claims failed because plaintiffs failed to plead continuity over an approximately six-month period from October 2024 to March 2025. The decision ends investors’ route to recovering their losses through this action.
