U.S. gas prices have surged by approximately $1.25 per gallon due to ongoing geopolitical tensions linked to the Iran conflict. This increase translates to an additional $560 annually for the average American driver. The American Automobile Association (AAA) recorded the national average price of regular gasoline at $4.081 per gallon, compared to $3.2013 a year ago. The current month is on track to set a new record for August gasoline prices.
