Uniswap founder Hayden Adams revealed that Sam Bankman-Fried paid at least one million dollars for the Uniswap.com domain in the protocol’s early years, then redirected it to a Uniswap fork. Adams said his lawyers successfully argued malicious use of the domain and recovered the address at no cost. Bankman-Fried was convicted of fraud in November 2023 and sentenced to 25 years in prison plus an 11 billion dollar forfeiture. Meanwhile, Uniswap’s UNI token trades near 8.78 dollars, roughly double its level from a month earlier.
