Brooklyn-based startup Ultra, which rents warehouse robots monthly, raised $62 million across two rounds: $12 million in seed funding (led by Y Combinator and Next View) and $50 million in Series A (led by Framework Ventures). Founded in 2024, the company builds dual-arm stationary robots used for packing, sorting, and kitting in e-commerce warehouses, with over 500,000 orders processed to date. A notable deployment at Highline Commerce in Brooklyn handles up to 30% of the company’s fulfillment volume. Ultra also expanded its partnership with Physical Intelligence, which supplies the AI models powering its robots, including the π0.6 model reportedly achieving 96.4% autonomy during full shifts in real-world warehouse settings. This robots-as-a-service model lowers upfront costs for operators while giving Ultra room to raise prices as value is demonstrated.
