Two Dallas residents, Damian Vielma (20) and Jeremiah Clybourn (19), were arrested for an attempted armed home invasion on September 5, 2026, in South San Jose. The suspects, posing as delivery workers with at least one of them armed, fled when the resident did not answer the door. San Jose police used ALPR (automated license plate reader) technology to track them across state lines, leading to their arrest in Dallas on September 24, 2026. They face charges including attempted robbery, possession of a stolen vehicle, and firearm offenses, and are awaiting extradition to Santa Clara County. Investigators say the motive was cryptocurrency and the suspects may be linked to other similar crimes in the region, including in Atherton.
