Trump said Saturday it was time for Ukraine to get a new president, suggesting Volodymyr Zelenskyy has not done enough to end the war with Russia and blaming him for high U.S. diesel prices. The U.S. president struck a deal Friday with Russia to buy diesel, providing for the immediate delivery of more than 300,000 tons, followed by 500,000 tons in November and an additional 1 million tons thereafter. At least 20 people, including three children, were killed Saturday in Russian aerial bombings on residential buildings in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region. Ukraine’s European allies strongly condemned the deal, saying it would help fund Russia’s war effort, while Zelenskyy denounced an agreement that would provide Russia with additional revenue for weapons components and missile production.
