Trump reshuffles portfolio, sells Meta and buys Berkshire Hathaway in June

U.S. President Donald Trump sold Meta Platforms shares and purchased Berkshire Hathaway securities in June, according to information reported by CNBC. This transaction is part of a gradual divestment from Meta, following $5 million to $25 million in sales already made in February. The first quarter 2026 financial disclosures reveal more than 3,642 individual transactions, an unprecedented volume for a sitting president. Berkshire Hathaway, under new CEO Greg Abel, repurchased approximately $23.5 billion in equities during the second quarter of 2026, including $10 billion in a private placement in Alphabet.
