Treasury yields edge lower as investors look ahead to latest FOMC minutes

U.S. Treasury yields fell on Monday, with the 10-year yield dropping more than 2 basis points to 4.6743% and the 30-year yield to 5.2445%. U.S. retail sales unexpectedly declined by 0.6% last month, following a flat producer price index in July. Investors are awaiting Wednesday the release of July FOMC meeting minutes for further insight into the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy trajectory. The FOMC voted 9-3 to hold rates steady between 3.50% and 3.75% for the fifth consecutive meeting, with three dissenting members calling for a 25 basis point hike.
