Tottenham Hotspur nears deal for Omar Marmoush after positive talks

Tottenham Hotspur are close to signing Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush from Manchester City, with both clubs having held productive negotiations and the player already agreeing to personal terms. The transfer would value Marmoush between £70 million and £75 million, bringing Tottenham’s total summer spending north of £300 million under manager Roberto De Zerbi. Manchester City signed Marmoush for £59 million in January 2025 and he scored 10 goals in 37 appearances for the club, but his desire for regular playing time, limited by the presence of Erling Haaland, has been the catalyst for this move. Reports suggest talks between the two clubs could also involve Brazilian forward Savinho in a separate transaction.
