Nine of the ten best-performing S&P 500 stocks over the past decade are linked to the buildout of artificial intelligence infrastructure. Nvidia dominates with a total return of nearly 13,817%, more than double the next performer, AMD, at approximately 6,099%. The other companies in the ranking include chipmakers, network equipment makers, and one HVAC contractor. Nvidia’s market capitalization rose from roughly $418 billion to over $4.5 trillion since November 2022. JPMorgan estimates that 60% of data center capacity planned for 2027 has yet to break ground, which could keep these stocks in focus.
