Securitize added 13 new U.S. stocks to its catalog, bringing the total number of tokenized securities available on the blockchain to 25. ExxonMobil, GameStop, Disney, Uber, Salesforce, Johnson & Johnson, and Lockheed Martin are among the companies joining Apple, Nvidia, and Tesla. Each token is backed by an actual share on a one-to-one basis and entitles holders to dividends and, where applicable, voting rights. Transactions take place on Solana, are settled in USDC, and can be conducted outside Wall Street trading hours, with liquidity provided by Jump Trading. The tokens are neither approved nor issued by the companies concerned, and Securitize reports having approximately $5 billion in tokenized assets as of late September.
