Timothy Wadsworth, 35, will serve 51 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering. Between March 2020 and September 2021, his schemes caused or were intended to cause approximately $2.06 million in losses, mainly through unauthorized transactions processed through a Stripe merchant account. He also fraudulently obtained $161,200 in Economic Injury Disaster Loans, approximately $41,000 in Paycheck Protection Program loans and $65,900 in unemployment benefits, before receiving $42,000 through a romance scam.
