This gold miner is a cash machine. Why I think the sell-off is an opportunity

Tim Seymour, founder and chief investment officer of Seymour Asset Management, believes Agnico Eagle Mines is an opportunity to buy after the sharp decline in its shares. In the third quarter, the company produced gold at an all-in sustaining cost of $1,648 per ounce while selling it for an average of $4,264, preserving substantial margins despite rising costs. Agnico Eagle also generated $852 million in free cash flow and expects to return more than half of its 2026 cash flow to shareholders, assuming gold prices and operating conditions remain stable. Central bank buying and the lengthy development of new mining projects support the long-term outlook. As of November 2, the shares were roughly one-third below their 52-week high after gaining 382% since the start of the gold bull market launched in March 2024.
