A 17-year-old from southern France claimed responsibility for several cyberattacks, including operations targeting the National Agency for Secured Titles and SFR. These breaches compromised nearly 12 million ANTS accounts and more than 2 million SFR customer records, including addresses, email addresses and civil-status data. Operating under the pseudonym “NormalLeVrai,” he sold the stolen information on the dark web and reportedly amassed up to €150,000 in cryptocurrencies, sometimes earning the equivalent of €7,000 in a single day. After the arrest of one of his accomplices, he confessed to his father and then went to the gendarmerie. These data breaches are fueling phishing campaigns, which increased by 70% according to Cybermalveillance.gouv.fr.
