U.S. President Donald Trump has delayed imposing new 50% tariffs on $20 billion worth of Canadian goods. This decision comes after a three-day pause proposed by U.S. and Canadian negotiators who are getting close to reaching a new trade deal. If no agreement is reached, the new 50% tariffs and Canadian retaliatory measures are expected to take effect after midnight Eastern time.
