Thailand’s SEC has issued a Travel Rule requiring supervised crypto platforms to collect and transmit originator and beneficiary information for coin transfers starting Feb. 27, 2027. Customers transferring more than 30,000 baht must provide additional recipient details including province or city and country, while legal entities must also supply their registration number. Regulated platforms must retain transfer records for at least five years and verify wallet ownership for self-hosted transfers exceeding 30,000 baht. Transfers with missing information or requiring ownership verification may be delayed. The rule does not apply to trades on operator order books or Thai baht withdrawals.
