Bitfinex transferred 222.7 million USDT, worth nearly $223 million, to Tether’s treasury in late October 2026. The transaction was part of a series of internal transfers between two companies that both belong to iFinex. On October 28, four transfers worth $765.3 million occurred within three hours, while roughly $1 billion in USDT moved between affiliates during the month. These movements are part of treasury management and do not represent USDT issuance or market redemptions. The stablecoin’s dollar peg, market liquidity and sentiment remained stable despite the transfers.
