Tether, the global leader in stablecoins with its USDT whose market capitalization exceeds 180 billion dollars, has received an unqualified opinion from KPMG following a complete independent audit of its financial statements. This audit, described by CEO Paolo Ardoino as one of the most important milestones in Tether’s history, covers the financial position as of December 31, 2025, and represents the largest inaugural financial audit ever conducted for a company of this size. This validation by one of the Big Four should facilitate Tether’s access to jurisdictions that were previously closed to it, such as the United States and the European Union. The company, which also holds one of the largest private gold reserves in the world, additionally generated 1.5 billion dollars in profits during the second quarter.
