Tesla acquired Virtuix’s Omni One Enterprise system to train its Optimus humanoid robots. The omnidirectional treadmill enables a human operator to control a robot in real time through full-body teleoperation, generating large-scale training data for machine learning models. Virtuix Holdings (NASDAQ: VTIX) disclosed the sale on July 27, 2026, marking the company’s first enterprise sale. Virtuix, which originally targeted VR gaming enthusiasts, received the Auggie Award for Best Interaction Product on July 21, 2026, specifically for its robotics and AI applications. The Tesla deal represents major commercial validation for Virtuix, which also holds partnerships with NASA and US universities.
