Target is set to report earnings before the bell. Here’s what to expect

Target is expected to report fiscal second-quarter results Wednesday morning under CEO Michael Fiddelke. Analysts surveyed by LSEG forecast earnings per share of $2.33 and revenue of $26.14 billion. Last quarter, the retailer posted positive same-store sales growth of 5.6% for the first time in five quarters, while raising its full-year revenue guidance. Target’s stock is up more than 55% year-to-date, though Deutsche Bank analysts remain cautious until the company demonstrates sustainable market share gains.
