A CoinDesk poll conducted in May 2026 found that 65% of American voters trust banks more than crypto when it comes to financial inclusion, while 5% chose crypto. In addition, 60% of respondents view crypto as a mostly negative force on the economy. According to an American Bankers Association survey, 44% of adults prefer banks for fraud protection, compared with 1% for crypto companies. A Harris Poll found that 42% of respondents would be more likely to use a bank offering crypto services, representing about 112 million people, while 64% said their bank or financial adviser had never raised the subject. Finally, adoption could increase significantly with bank-level protections: a 2026 Visa survey found willingness to adopt crypto services rising from 36% to 56% when such safeguards are included.
