The Sui Network achieved a record of 40,614,180 transactions per second during a live test on October 7 at Sui Basecamp in Singapore, far exceeding its initial target of 20 million and its previous record of 6 million set in July. The test was independently analyzed by CertiK, with transactions executed off-chain inside tunnels before being settled on Sui’s mainnet. Sui also partnered with Alibaba Cloud to enable AI agents to pay for services using stablecoins. Despite this exceptional technical performance, the SUI token fell 5.3% on the same day, dropping to around $1.12, even though it had risen 57% since mid-September.
