Stripe is partnering with local payment platforms across Asia to facilitate cross-border transactions for regional businesses. Stripe’s cross-border payment volume in Asia grew over 30% in 2023, while the number of Asian businesses processing over $1 million on its platform increased by 28% year-on-year. The partnership with South Korean NICEPay enables US merchants to accept payments from Korean consumers through over 20 credit card brands and four local e-wallets without establishing a Korean business entity. Stripe’s Adaptive Pricing feature automatically displays prices in local currencies across more than 150 markets and boosts cross-border revenue by 17.8% on average, representing nearly $1.8 million in additional revenue for a business doing $10 million in international sales.
