Investor Jeff Booth, co-founder of Ego Death Capital, said Strategy’s long-term survival hinges on one condition: Bitcoin must function as a real currency, not remain a simple balance sheet asset. He explained to Scott Melker that if BTC stays only a financial instrument, Strategy could face government intervention, but if Bitcoin emerges as currency, the company could become one of the world’s most valuable firms thanks to its early positioning. On August 10, Strategy sold 1,690 BTC for $108.6 million to buy back STRC preferred shares, and sold 6.59 million MSTR shares for $653.1 million. The company now holds 840,447 BTC purchased for $63.36 billion at an average price of $75,385, with cash reserves above $4.6 billion.
