Plenti raises $3M from Tether, Verda Ventures to expand in Latin America

Colombian fintech Plenti, based in Medellín, has raised $3 million from Tether and Verda Ventures to expand its footprint across Latin America. Founded in 2023, the platform offers multicurrency accounts allowing users to hold and transfer digital dollars, euros, and Colombian pesos. It has processed over 680 million USDT since launch and onboarded more than 150,000 users, primarily freelancers and remote workers. The company plans to transition into a comprehensive financial account combining traditional fiat banking rails with crypto offerings.
