DTCC, the American post-trade giant, opens commercial access to its tokenization service at the end of October, covering $30 trillion in assets. Stellar is not part of the first wave of integration planned for this year: the public network will have to wait until 2027 to join the platform alongside Circle Arc. The initial phase targets private bank networks on two closed platforms, Canton Network and Hyperledger Besu, with over 30 Wall Street financial institutions participating in the July pilot. The tokenized instruments, initially limited to 25 liquid products (U.S. Treasuries, major ETFs, and Russell 1000 large-cap stocks), maintain a 1:1 parity with underlying securities and retain their CUSIP codes. DTCC plans to expand the list of available securities, add corporate actions support, and launch on-chain collateral settlements via digital cash by 2027.
