Ascend Markets and the M1X Global platform announced on October 23, 2026, the completion of the first regulated short-term collateralized lending transaction on the Stellar (XLM) blockchain. The pilot used tokenized U.S. Treasury bonds in interbank settlements without involving a centralized clearing system. The operation ran for 72 hours, from October 16 to 19, including a weekend, with 72 hourly rollovers executed automatically and total network fees below one U.S. cent. The rate was set at SOFR plus 10 basis points, or 3.98% per year, while Chainlink oracles applied a 2% haircut and a 98% loan-to-value limit. By the end of October 2026, Stellar hosted $3.64 billion in tokenized assets, mainly attributed to Spicet Asset Management, Oasis and Franklin Templeton.
