StarkWare tests quantum-resistant Bitcoin transaction on mainnet

StarkWare successfully conducted the first quantum-resistant Bitcoin transaction on mainnet, confirmed in block 964,199. Researcher Avihu Levy spent a 10,000-satoshi output using the Quantum Safe Bitcoin protocol, which combines hash-based one-time signatures with computational searches designed to prevent forgery even if elliptic curve cryptography is broken by a quantum computer. MARA Pool mined the block after receiving the transaction through its Slipstream service. The operation cost is estimated between $150 and $200, and standard nodes do not relay this type of transaction, requiring direct submission to miners.
