LayerZero Labs announced major ecosystem changes for Stargate on September 15, 2026. STG token holders have until December 15, 2026 to convert their tokens to ZRO at the fixed rate of 1 STG = 0.08634 ZRO, after which the conversion window will close permanently. Starting October 1, 2026, Stargate will transition to an exclusively Taxi-based transaction model, eliminating other existing modes. The ecosystem is also consolidating its testnet infrastructure to approximately ten prioritized networks by the end of October, while restructuring its bug bounty programs with the V1 program ending on December 15 and the V2 program scaling to $3.5 million.
