Standard Chartered to Offer Digital Asset Custody in Singapore

Standard Chartered plans to offer crypto custody services for institutional clients in Singapore. The British bank already provides this service in the United Arab Emirates, Luxembourg, and Hong Kong. The offering will cover selected cryptoassets, stablecoins, and tokenized real-world assets. In 2025, the bank also set up a bitcoin trading desk in London and a blockchain unit called Libeara. Deutsche Bank similarly plans to launch a custody service for bitcoin, ether, and select stablecoins in Europe during 2026.
