Adam Back, CEO of Blockstream, rejected the theory that Satoshi Nakamoto planned unlimited block-size growth, stating that Bitcoin’s creator was often wrong in his early technical decisions and that his archives should not be treated as scripture. The White House held a closed-door meeting on Aug. 19 with SEC and CFTC chairs alongside executives from Ripple, Coinbase, Gemini and Polymarket, signaling that market rules will be set by the executive branch without waiting for the stalled CLARITY Act to pass Congress. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong predicted that AI agents will eventually outnumber humans among crypto wallet holders, citing the x402 protocol and USDC on Base, which have already processed over $100 million. Bitcoin fell below its 200-week moving average, trading between $62,000 and $65,000, with U.S. spot ETFs recording $389.7 million in net outflows during Aug. 10-14. Strategy raised $334 million to defend its 840,447 BTC holdings while BitMine extended its ETH accumulation streak to 59 consecutive weeks.
