Share

Solana Foundation signed a strategic agreement with Hong Kong licensed issuer Anchorpoint Financial Limited to launch the HKDAP stablecoin for retail payments and tokenized assets. Anchorpoint is a consortium comprising Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong), HKT and Animoca Brands, and holds the FRS01 license from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. Integration with Solana enables the stablecoin’s instant issuance and redemption under Hong Kong’s Stablecoins Ordinance, which took effect on August 1, 2025. Because the Hong Kong dollar is pegged to the US dollar within a 7.75 to 7.85 range, HKDAP becomes another dollar-linked instrument issued in a separate jurisdiction, while Solana Foundation is expanding its local presence through the OASES program, a Hong Kong office and the TAP tokenization program with PwC.
