SoFi has launched SOFIE, a tokenized deposit issued by SoFi Bank, N.A., its chartered and FDIC-insured banking subsidiary. Funds held in SOFIE qualify for FDIC insurance within applicable limits and are aggregated with a customer’s other deposits at SoFi Bank. Available through the SoFi Crypto interface, the product carries a variable annualized rate of 4.40% as of October 20, 2026, and can be converted into SoFiUSD, a stablecoin without deposit protection. SOFIE is, however, excluded from SoFi’s expanded insured deposit program, which spreads funds across partner banks.
