Securitize shares surged 24% at their peak Thursday before closing up 14%, after the SEC announced a temporary framework for limited trading of tokenized U.S. stocks, valid for five years. The company became the first major tokenization firm to go public in the U.S. in July and holds roughly 9% of the tokenized market by assets under management. The combined market value of tokenized assets has reached $38.51 billion, up more than 70% over the past year. Needham Securities analyst John Todaro initiated coverage with a buy rating, highlighting Securitize’s partnerships with BlackRock, Apollo, KKR, Computershare and the NYSE.
