Bitcoin has surged nearly 22% over the past week, climbing from a low of $62,679 on August 17 to a peak of $81,265, its highest level to date. The Bitcoin stash of pseudonymous creator Satoshi Nakamoto has increased by $15 billion to reach $85.82 billion, representing approximately 1.096 million BTC across some 22,000 addresses. A wallet containing 40 BTC that had been dormant since May 28, 2012 has just been transferred to German crypto custody services provider Boerse Stuttgart Digital. Acquired for approximately $200 at around $5 per coin, the holdings were worth $3.14 million at the time of transfer, generating a realized profit of roughly $3.16 million, representing a 1,535,911% gain.
