Salesforce has launched Hyperagent capabilities inside Slack, turning the workplace messaging app it acquired for $27.7 billion in 2021 into a command center for autonomous AI agents. These agents can source leads, generate reports, update CRM records, and execute complex workflows through natural language commands directly in Slack channels. Specialized agents Hunter (sales) and Paige (IT and HR) are now available to Business+ and Enterprise+ customers starting January 2026. Approximately 80,000 internal testers used the product before launch, making it the fastest adopted product in the company’s history. Slack has more than 200,000 paid customers globally, and the dual-permission model allows agents to inherit access rights from both platforms.
